My very vague understanding is that the two celebrations are related because the Last Supper was a Passover Seder. With that in mind how come Easter is occurring nearly a whole month before Passover this year?
Why is Easter always observed on a Sunday and not three days after the day of Passover?
ELI5, Why are Easter and Passover not close to each other this year?

Seeing that the day of Jesus' resurrection was relative to his death (on Passover), then the Lord's Day should always reside on the third day after Passover. He didn't say he will resurrect on any specific day of the week. Since Passover can fall on any day of the week, so should the Lord's Day. Just as Christmas is observed every Dec 25th and can fall on any day of the week, this logic should also flow for Easter.
So where did this rationale come from? Shouldn't a day of memorial be based upon the month and day, and not based upon the day of the week?
If the resurrection happened on a Tuesday, do you think Christians will have worship every Tuesday or will they still choose Sunday?
